From a young age, I knew that art was my calling, and I have spent countless hours honing my craft. My artwork is a reflection of my personality - vibrant, dynamic, and full of life. Leonardo Rafael De Castro was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Leonardo worked as an underwater photographer since 1983. In 1998 he enrolled at the School of Art “Julio Arraga” in Maracaibo and pursued studies in both photography and painting.

His works have been shown and sold at exhibitions and in galleries in Venezuela, Toronto and in Clearwater, Florida where he currently resides. He continued to search and research digital techniques to express abstract art as shown in the 2007 solo exhibit: Pixel and The Spontaneity Of Image, Shape and Color. Leonardo has evolved from digital art to multiple techniques of abstract work in various mediums. What makes the work of Leonardo De Castro unique is what he calls the self-determination of fluids. Controlling such autonomy and its accidents is the true work in his art. In his work you will perceive, among other things, the abstract expression of minuscule spaces which will make you look inside yourself for the emotion it will bring out.
